Another Fall Festival: Fun Fest

Every year the elementary school I went to when I was little has their fall fundraiser. They have dinner, games, face painting, you name it.

Last year Ben was still a little too young to do a lot of the games himself, but this year he was all about it.

My OOTD:
Boots Target//Leggings Kohls//Shirt Marshalls//Cardigan Old Navy

Eating some pizza before all the fun

It had rained all day so the school also had some activities inside just in case it didn't stop, but even though it was cold, we stayed dry.

Stacking some apples

Playing and winning the cake walk!

Ben's favorite part of the night. Getting his hair spray painted!

And of course we couldn't leave without once last jump.

What festivals have you been to this fall?

Pumpkin Carvin' Fools

I can't believe this is the last weekend before Halloween. This also means next weekend will already be November. Ah!

In preparation for fall and Halloween, there has been lots of pumpkin carving going on. Some pumpkins being carved better than others:)

Ben and his cousin's got to work at Meemaw and Pampas house.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of my niece Hannah's pumpkin. She did an awesome job carving "wicked" in her pumpkin.

Since daddy couldn't make it to Meemaw's, the next weekend we did some more carving at our house.

And for the first year ever, I was quite proud of my creation.

Ben got bored and decided to color his pumpkin.
Our final creations!

Bucket List Update: Paint With Ice Cubes

What better time to update our Summer Bucket list now that we're officially in the heart of fall.

Better late than never right? To read the original bucket list click here.
  1. Glow in the dark sticks in the bathtub. This one is for Ben although somehow I think the kid inside of J might also want to do this.
  2. Go camping. Even if it's in our own backyard.
  3. Have a picnic. This one may need to be indoors if it doesn't get below 100 soon.
  4. Make an obstacle course out of paper streamers.
  5. Fly a kite.
  6. Paint with ice cubes.
  7. Have a spray water bottle fight
  8. Go on a picture scavenger hunt.
  9. Go fishing.
  10. Relax. Let Ben stay up a little later. Enjoy quality time as a family.

6/10 ain't bad.

Our final Summer project was of course another Pinterest Idea.

Ice Cube Paint
What You'll Need:
-paint
-ice cube tray/popsicle tray
-water

Place paint in ice cube/popsicle tray. Fill with water to the top. I used the paintbrush to get the paint into the tray and to stir the paint and water together.

Place lids on and freeze.
If I do this again I would spray the tray with a non-stick spray. The popsicles did not pop out very easily.

Daddy may have painted with us too. Can you guess which one he did:)
