Jack {2 months}

Jack, this past month with you has been such been such a delight! I feel like we are finally getting into our groove as a family. Just as I knew you would, you have changed SO much this past month. You are a joy to be around, and for the most part, a pretty happy baby.
You still love to eat and breastfeeding is still going strong. You eat every two hours, sometimes less and sometimes more. During the night you usually go 4 hours between feedings. You have had a few ounces of formula here and there, but 99% of the time you drink breast milk. When I pump, you drink anywhere from 2-4 oz and if we let you, I'm sure you would gobble down more. You love you some milk. Burping on the other hand is few and far between and sometimes causes you spit up which you hate. You also drool a lot and recently started sucking on your hand and fingers. The pacifier and you have a luke warm relationship. Every once in a while you will take it, but for the most part we put it in and you spit it out.
We will find out next week what you weigh, but I'm guessing around 11 lbs. You have outgrown your newborn clothes and wear 0-3 months and size 1 diaper.
I am so thankful that you are a good sleeper for the most part. You usually take a morning nap anywhere from 9-10 and sleep until 12:30 or 1:00, eat and then go back to sleep for a little bit. You usually stay awake from 2:30 until 5:00, then it's a quick nap in the car while we pick up brother and then you're awake until bedtime. You go to bed between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. and sleep until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., nurse, sleep until 4:00 or 5:00 a.m., nurse, and sleep again until 6:30-7:00 a.m. You are still sleeping in your sleep sack in the swing, but I'm going to be moving you to the bassinet and see how you do in there. Hopefully you won't wake yourself up!
You went on your first trip this month to St. Louis. We stayed in a hotel room and you did great!  You also went to the zoo for the first time and the city museum. While your brother swam, you hung out by the pool, in the shade, and slept while the breeze blew through your hair. You have the life!
The most exciting thing you've done this past month is smile and laugh, and you are still cooing away. Your social smile emerged around 5 weeks and is just so darn cute. You love it when people talk to you. You grin so big and sometimes will just laugh and laugh. It melts my heart! Your brother loves talking to you! You continue to love your bath, and if you are upset, giving you a bath can calm you down right away. You don't love getting out of the bath and can't stand being in your car seat if it's not moving. You are also reaching more towards items, especially the ones hanging on your play mat.
Please don't fly through this baby stage so quickly:)

We just love you so so much!
