Weekend Recap

Nothing like last weekend's recap the night before the next weekend.

Like most of the country, we got hit with snow and bitter temperatures. The high last weekend was 1 degree. On Monday the temperature was -8 at 8:00 in the morning. I can' wait to see how much our heating bill is this month. But on a positive note, at least we have a house and heat. Look at me being all positive:)

Friday night J and I had a little date night to see The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
The previews for the movie looked strange to say the least, but J really wanted to see it. I was surprised at how much I really liked this. Are there weird parts? Definitely. But the overall message is great and J and I both left the theater wanting to back our suitcase and travel, travel, travel. Too bad there's those little things-literally-called children.

Another bonus of the movie?
Kristen Wiig's hair. I LOVED the bangs and the color.

Saturday we had our niece over to play and stay the night. There was lots of playing, nail painting, and homemade pizza making. We had a blast and loved having her with us, but it made me realize I do not want 3 children. I think.
He always begs to have his nails painted whenever I get the polish out. He thought it was cool for about 10 minutes then wanted it off...and when I realized we were out of polish remover, he tried to pick it off with this teeth.

Cousins
And yes, Jack is sitting up like one of the big kids playing. How can this be?

Hope everyone is staying warm!

  1. I know I sound crazy when I say I loved the bitter cold weather. I really did. We were down to the -20s with wind chill. I don't love the wind. But the cold, snow and sunshine!!! I know, that little thing like keeping the house warm costs money! I'll see that next month! Ha.

Love the boys' pajamas!! They are so cute!

    Happy Weekend to you!

    1. You do sound crazy:) But I can relate a teennnyyyy bit. It's not too bad if you don't have to go anywhere, but being out in it, especially with kids is awful.
